Program Overview
Our Commitment to Responsible Recycling
Paradis Wines & Spirits (EDIVO Wines) has developed a five-year Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program to meet British Columbia’s Recycling Regulation requirements (Schedule 1 — Beverage Containers). The plan covers all EDIVO 0.75L glass and amphora wine bottles sold through the Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) network.
Program Scope:

Navis Mysterium Undersea Bottle 0.75L
Eros Pjenušac Undersea Bottle 0.75L
Navis Q Undersea Bottle 0.75L
All containers are refillable or recyclable.
No excluded products.
How It Works
Collection and Return System
EDIVO operates a prepaid mail-back system via Canada Post, offering province-wide access (1,200+ locations, >97% of BC population within 30 km).
- Drop-off at staffed Canada Post outlets
- Parcel pickup (where available)
- Additional prepaid labels available upon request
Returned containers are inspected at a Vancouver hub, then:
- Refilled (if suitable) at winery in Croatia
- Recycled by licensed processors in Croatia
- Repurposed as décor/art pieces
Landfilling and incineration are prohibited.

Program Costs & Deposits
Cost fully funded by producer.
Deposit: $0.10, refunded via cheque or e-transfer.
Annual independent financial audits required.

Initial consultation (Oct–Nov 2025) included retailers, First Nations, NGOs, municipalities, and consumers; no comments received.
Disputes handled through a structured process, with escalation to third-party mediation if needed.

The EDIVO EPR program provides accessible free returns, prioritizes reuse, ensures recycling for all non-refillable containers, and demonstrates strong consumer education, cost responsibility, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.
